Confident in the Call – So Bring it!

Exodus 5: 1Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.’”2 Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord and I will not let Israel go.”

Moses found himself walking into a place he knew very well.  He had been raised in Pharoah’s house and knew the power & influence that this one man possessed.  As he & Aaron walked in to issue the request that he had been prepared to deliver, you know lots of doubts, questions & concerns were floating through his head!  “What if he says NO”  “What if he kills me”  “What if he tortures the people that are already hurting”…..the list could go on & on.  How then was Moses able to come through with this huge task?

How do we do what God called us to do when things don’t open up right away for us?  How do we not walk away and guess that God must not be in it because it is not happening easily like we would like for it to?  We do what Moses did…..we remain confident in the call.  God had prepared him…God had sent him and God had a task he wanted him to do regardless of what it appeared like in the moment.  Then God spoke to Moses in Exodus 6:1 and said  “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”  In our terms we would say…”Moses, I’ve got it…you go execute it – I will take of the results”.  Go & Bring it!  Be confident in the work…be confident in the call and do what I have called you to do!

What’s the area of your life you are holding back?  Are you doubting the call?  Remind yourself of what God once told you and go in HIS strength and do what He has called you to do!  Don’t hold back or fall back – move ahead with Him and BRING IT!
